Loy kratong

'Loy' 'to float,' 'kratong' is the Thai word for the float. Today most kratong are made with a styrofoam base, originally, it was a slice of a banana tree trunk. A kratong contains flowers, joss sticks, candle and coins. You can spend the afternoon building your own kratong or buy one of the beatiful creations from one of the many vendors.
