The People Behind

Thai-Experience.orgSabine Lindemann has traveled all her life and volunteered abroad and at home. She studied Theology, worked for a Thai company, was a web designer, programmer and project manager. Sabine founded Thai-Experience with Kanokwon "Lun" Sookserm to help the Thai community she lived with and give international volunteers the chance to volunteer abroad. She studies Thai language and culture, again and again fascinated by her findings. Her main goal is to bridge the gap between east and west.

Nalinrat Suvannavong helps promote innovative volunteer opportunities in Isaan, Thailand. She comes from the Bueng Kan area but has lived and worked throughout her country. Nalinrat teaches our international volunteers about Thai language, cooking, dance, Buddhism, Asian medicinal herbs, and therapeutic massage. She is also an active volunteer in her own community and is involved in promoting economic opportunities in financially depressed areas of Thailand while supporting cross-cultural understanding between people.

Dalyn Simmons has lived and volunteered in many countries. She volunteered in Thailand soon after the tsunami and later began working with others around the world to form the non profit Mundo Exchange. She now works with Sabine to provide high quality volunteer opportunities in Thailand and Guatemala. Dalyn believes strongly in promoting valuable non-profit work where Western volunteers learn while providing training and skills that benefit people in need, environment awareness and international understanding.
