You will make new friends, learn a lot about the host country, and at the same time have a good time with others. You will see sights average tourists miss because their guide books don't tell them. You discover Thai culture from the inside because you work and share experiences with Thai people. You travel to teach and share your skills with people who are less fortunate.
Who can take a volunteer vacation?

If you want to come with your family, no problem. Thailand is easy to travel and children are welcome everywhere. Your children can either acompany their parents while they do their volunteer work or have a program on their own if they are old enough.
Where are volunteer vacations available?
Thai-Experience is a site for volunteer vacations in north-eastern Thailand. This is one of the less developed parts of the country. The average tourist may see the Khmer ruins or rush through to go to Laos. Not many stop to take a closer look. But it is worth, because here you still find Thai culture that is already lost in other places. Why should I consider a volunteer vacation?
