Volunteer in Thailand

Teach mechanical and/or electrical skills to disabled people

Someone who can repair lamps and other electric or electronic household appliances or knows how to assemble a computer is able find work - disabled or not. So share your knowledge and enable disabled persons to earn a living in future. Join an ongoing self-help project in north-eastern Thailand by teaching them new skills.

disabled persons in Thailand have less chances than in western countries. Without the ability to earn their living they put an extra weight on their already poor families. Lack of money further limits their access to proper training and aids.

This self-help project is constantly looking for new ideas and input. This is the right place for you if you have patience and an open mind. Just bring your tools and ideas and be flexible to deal with the challenges of the environment.

Suitable for volunteers of all ages. Retired professionals welcome.
We also welcome disabled volunteers. Please contact us to check the possibilities and understand that Thailand is not wheelchair friendly and unfortunately accessible accommodation and bathrooms present a problem.
